Do BM Exhaust systems contain a baffle?
No. Every exhaust system we build is 100% baffle-free (open). The resonators and silencers are designed specifically for maximum gas flow and power output.
Does the engine need to be set up after fitting the exhaust?
Yes, definitely. Since this is a performance tuning system without a baffle, the engine needs fine-tuning afterwards.
- On scooters: carburettor work (main jet sizing) and transmission set-up (roller weights, clutch springs).
- On geared supermotos: carburettor work (richening, jetting).
Correct set-up is essential both for peak performance and for the life of the engine.
How can I prevent the exhaust from rusting?
During manufacture every exhaust is treated with a special heat-resistant lacquer that provides effective basic protection against corrosion.
To keep that layer intact we recommend cleaning the system regularly (do not let mud or moisture sit on it) and treating it from time to time with a suitable heat-resistant care product, oil, or a fresh coat of lacquer.
Do you provide a warranty on the exhausts?
Yes. We give a 6-month warranty on every product, covering breaks and cracks arising from normal use. We trust the quality of our welds and materials.
Is the exhaust custom-made or built from a jig?
We build our exhausts from our own tested, proven production jigs for the most popular 2T scooter and supermoto engines (for example Minarelli, Piaggio, Derbi AM6). This guarantees mounting points identical to the factory ones and consistently high quality.
What if I get stuck with fitting or set-up?
We will not leave you to it. If you run into any question or problem during fitting, with the fit itself, or with the carburettor and transmission set-up, get in touch with confidence. We are here with advice and technical help.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most of our products ship from stock within 3–5 working days. If the model you chose is not in stock, production usually takes 5–10 working days.
